ARCHITECTURAL METAL : RAILINGS

Louis Sullivan Railing

This art casting, designed by renowned architect Louis Sullivan, was slated to go on display in Bon Appetite Restaurant located in the Art Institute of Chicago. The art element would be incorporated into a railing. The design specifications of this railing dictated that it be massive to protect the casting from potential damage, yet required that the fasteners be invisible and that all weld joints be eliminated. With experience and ingenuity JIT was able to accomplish these design specifications. We call it value added engineering, and this capability is what sets us apart from other waterjet job shops.
