¼” Stainless Steel Flow Plates
This
equipment distributes liquids from one location to another
in a series of tubes, rings and flow plates. An abrasive waterjet
is the most cost-effective way to cut holes into stainless
steel. It took less than 30 minutes to cut all 10 holes
that you see in this picture. The circles are a perfect-cut
shape and are located exactly where the client specified.
Had our client tried to use a mill, punch press
or hole saw to fabricate this orifice flow plate, it would
have taken a whole day's worth of labor and machining, and
the final part would have been at a greater risk of being
unusable. Those alternative methods of cutting lack the ability
to maintain tolerances of +/- .003, as the Flow Abrasive Waterjet
can.

With our technical know-how, we are able to
customize each part for our client. This affords them the
ability to customize packages for their clients. As the part
specifications change, our client can e-mail the drawings
to us. The waterjet is programmed to cut the part in a matter
of minutes, in most cases. The ¼” stainless steel
is supplied by the customer in this instance, however JIT
can acquire material for our clients, too.
