Letters can be cut from metal, foam, marble,
plastic, stone or just about any material that you can think
of. While we are not sign makers, our waterjet cut letters
and logos are an integral part of the environmental graphics
industry. JIT Waterjet can offer many specialty
features to our sign fabricating clients. With our precision
programming, we are able to cut letters smaller or shorter
than 1” tall. At the other end of the spectrum we can
also cut letters as tall as 6 to 7 feet. If the designer wishes, we can also add a curve to those flat cut metal letters.

In working with architectural
metals or other materials that are going to be exposed to
the elements, we can always provide the clear coat or anodized
finish for our clients. The anodized finish is also available
in color.
We also make available on our metal letters
other secondary finishes added to the face of the letter.
- highly polished shiny finish - sometimes called a
mirrored finish
- brushed finish - brushed in a vertical or horizontal
straightline direction
- DA finish non-directional
The cut edge of the letter, or what we refer
to as the return, is usually bead blasted or sanded. JIT also
offers a polished return which is not available from our competition.

Letters
can be drilled and tapped to accommodate spacers. Drill and
tap can be arranged in a standard form, or a paper template
is always available for those unique patterns and for installation
use by the contractor.
Architectural letters used for wayfinding
signs or interior identification signs are also available
through JIT. Frequently, interior signs are cut from flood-coated
gator foam or sintra. However, JIT will accommodate whatever
the designer specifies. JIT also has a vast portfolio of various
fonts including connected scripts. Our technology department
can program from your graphic artwork, or develop artwork
from a rough sketch or hand drawing. Contact us for more specific
information.
